Troparia of the Resurrection

V.  The assembly of the Angels was amazed to behold Thee, O Saviour, numbered among the dead, Thou Who didst raise Adam with Thyself, and didst deliver all from hell. R.

V.  Why do you pitifully mingle myrrh with your tears, O women disciples? cried the radiant Angel in the tomb to the Myrrhbearers. Behold the grave and rejoice, that the Saviour has risen from the tomb.

V.  From early in the morning, the Myrrhbearers ran lamenting to Thy tomb. But an Angel floated towards them and said: The time for lamentation has come to an end. Weep not, but announce the Resurrection to the Apostles.

Graduals of the First Antiphon 

V.  From my youth many passions have warred against me. But help and save me, my Saviour. You who hate Sion will put to shame by the Lord; like grass in the fire you will be withered up.

Troparia of the Resurrection

Today salvation has come to the world. Let us sing praises to Him Who rose from the grave, the Author of our life. For having destroyed death by death, He has given us the victory and His great mercy. 

Having risen from the tomb, and burst the bonds of hell, Thou didst annul the sentence of death, O Lord, redeeming all men from the snares of the enemy. When Thou hadst revealed Thyself to Thine Apostles, Thou didst send them out to proclaim Thee. And through them Thou hast granted Thy peace to the world, O Thou Who alone art most merciful.
